Dear London Campus,
We would like to formally announce the launch of a new Society ESCP BizTech aimed at providing a platform for business students to enter into the ever-changing world of business technology and fintech. As an inaugural event, the society is hosting a Workshop on "BlockChain and its application in business" on March 18th from 15:00 - 17:00 at room F63 in London Campus. The ESCP BizTech Society invites students from all Campuses Master in Management M1 and M2, MS(c), MBA and Bachelor to participate. What is the workshop about? This 2-hour session provides students with a strong foundation of blockchain and practical exposure to this booming technology through a short presentation by BlockChain startup founders. You will also have an opportunity to hear the journey of an intern working as the Head of Student empowerment at TiiQU. Timings (you are also able to choose one session only)Session 3.00 PM - 4:30 PM - Basics of blockchain by Philippe Nadouce, Director of Bloq Leap. Philippe Nadouce is an expert in blockchain technologies providing consulting and training to companies and startups on bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies, various distributed consensus methodologies. He has over ten years of experience in startup management. Session 2: 4:30 PM - 5:30 PM - Networking session with TiiQu: A blockchain-based startup in financial services by Laura Degiovanni, CEO of TiiQu and Louis Ferrandez, Head Of Student Empowerment Project at TiiQu. Laura is the founder and CEO of TiiQu; she found in blockchain the enabling technology to remove guesswork and assumptions from claims, manage skills and professional reputation as assets and enable each individual to access opportunities on a meritocratic basis. Louis is currently an intern at the company who is now playing the role of "Head of Student empowerment". He will briefly talk about his journey and learning experiences at TiiQU.Networking Session: Light buffet and drinks offered by ESCP Biztech.
