   In the last few weeks, the world has witnessed irrational and extreme   behaviours - from stockpiling toilet paper to failing to abide by life-saving   lockdown measures.  

  Those behaviours can appear puzzling but are rooted in deeper inner   psychological mechanisms. From a psychological point of view, those   behaviours can be explained by three main dimensions.
