On the 9th of March 2020, began the Italian lockdown due to the Covid crisis. Then a series of governmental measures followed to limit contact between citizens.

Consequently, in the retailing sectors, companies’ transformations and the online business r(E)volution appeared. The severe lockdowns forced many brands to rethink not only their strategy vis-a-vis customer engagement but also the role of physical stores. How did they rethink their physical stores?
